The Rotary Foundation Centennial Celebration – 31 May 2017

By District Governor Neville John

Last edition I highlighted The Rotary Foundation Centennial Celebration and advised that brochures and bequest forms have been emailed to all Club Presidents. If you can come along you should, because the celebration of 100 years of ‘doing good in the world’ comes once in a lifetime. It is an opportunity to bring your non-Rotary friends and corporate networks, to see and hear about the work of Rotary. We will also adding a ‘Donate’ button to the dinner website so that those who are unable to attend, can donate. You can now also nominate your club so that you are seated together.

A bequest campaign for The Rotary Foundation has not been conducted in our district for a very long time, and as you well know, the financial support that the Foundation provides the projects that our clubs develop is well spent. The Foundation deserves consideration of our support both during our lifetime and beyond.

If you have already identified the Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will but not advised them, contact Dennis Shore and ask him for a bequest pledge form, then fill it in and send it back. Because it’s already in your Will, there’s nothing more to do.  Otherwise, complete and return a bequest form. If you need a legal Codicil template to take to your Solicitor, Dennis can provide that as well.

So, if you are thinking of attending, book now on the following website:
