Boroondara Emergency Services Awards    

On Wednesday, 28 October, 2015, Yarra Bend Rotary held the second annual Boroondara Emergency Services Awards with an audience of almost 80 people. The evening, held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre, was very successful and presented a very positive image of Rotary and Yarra Bend in particular.

Big Greek Dinner    

This Fundraising event is being held to help the ROTARY Clubs of ATHENS ,to provide them with urgent Medical Aid and consumables for the more than 4000 Refugees that are entering Athens every day from the Aegean Islands and sofar this year 488,000 have entered greece and suffering as a result of the Syrian crisis 

It would be appreciated if you would support us in this serious humanitarian crisis by publicising this event as medical help is urgently needed

"The United Nations estimates that 385,000 women die annually in childbirth, with developing countries accounting for 99% of these deaths. For every woman who dies in childbirth another 30 women will incur injuries and infections. Many of these deaths, injuries and infections are preventable.

Designed to recognise members of our emergency services who exceed the normal demands of their employment and deliver “Service!Above!Self” to the benefit of the local community, the Awards are judged by a panel comprising senior officers of the emergency services and Yarra Bend Rotary officials.

Rotary Club of Albert Park 2015 Footy Breakfast    

25 September, 2015 - at the Carousel, on Albert Park lake

Special Guest Speaker, former Collingwood Premiership player, Gavin Crosisca.

All proceeds will go to a literacy program run by the club for disadvantaged children in the local area, as well as other Club projects for the local community.

Tickets are $70 for a sumptuous sit down cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. Metered parking is available at the front door and in Aughtie Drive. Start Time is 7am for 7,30 and we'll finish at 9am.

The 2015 Rotary Success Conference and Youth Summit will be held at the Hellenic Club, Canberra on 5– 6 September 2015.
