The Conoco Phillips Science Experience

The Conoco Phillips Science Experience is a three or four day hands-on science program in participating universities in Melbourne and regional Victoria for Year 9 and 10 students. The program is designed to provide students who have an interest in science with an opportunity to engage in a wide range of fascinating science activities under the guidance of scientists.

The program takes place in universities and tertiary institutions where students perform experiments, meet and hear senior lecturers in lecture theatres, attend site visits and experience what it is like to be on campus of a university or tertiary institution. The program also provides information about further studies in science, technology and engineering, and it highlights the wide range of careers available, as well as giving participants the opportunity to meet and share ideas with students from different schools.

There is no selection process and students only need to obtain endorsement from their local Rotary club if they are seeking Rotary funding.

Further information about the program may be obtained at www.scienceexperience.com.au.

Students should download the application form or apply on line at the above website.
